My first attempt at making Ryan's favorite cake was a success! The recipe is posted in an older post and it's well worth the effort to find it and make it if you're a coconut fan. I baked two layers and then split them in half. I put it in the fridge to "set up" for two days before we ate it. According to Granny Ludie, that's very important!Did you notice the super cute cake plate? Thanks Gwen! I love it!
My days of claiming I'm not a baker are over. I have no excuse now. I will move forward with cake mix in hand. I'm leaving the "from scratch" stuff to Chef Jaime.
